Now this is the season
Love is the reason
Why folks gather round
It’s Christmas time
Joy bells are ringing
And children are singing
Songs that warm your heart
It’s Christmas time
Let them in, let them in
Let them in, let them in
Let them in
When love comes knocking
You hear carols singing
See the joy through the window
Smile on their faces
It’s Christmas time
Let them in, let them in
Snowflakes are falling
It’s Christmas time
Let them in, let them in
Let them in
It was a nice Christmas morning
When Savannah comes knocking
Daddy wake up, it’s Christmas time
There’s presents for the giving
And presents to be opened
It’s Christmas time
Lots of hugs and kisses
As we make our wishes
Fireworks cracking, love in the kitchen
It’s Christmas time
Let them in, let them in
Snowflakes are falling
It’s Christmas time
Let them in, let them in
Yeah, let them in
Have a reggae reggae Christmas
That’s what we wish you
What a beautiful sound
It’s Christmas time
Share love with your neighbour
Let it bloom like a flower
You’ll never see me down
When Christmas comes around
When Christmas comes around
Let them in, let them in
Let them in, let them in
I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom, for me and for you
And I say to myself
What a wonderful world
I see skies are blue
Clouds of white
Bright blessed days
Dark sacred nights
And I say to myself
What a wonderful world
The colours of the rainbow
So pretty in the skies
Also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying how do you do
But they’re really saying
I love you
I hear babies crying
I watch them grow
They’ll have much more
Than I’ll ever know
And I say to myself
What a wonderful world
I say to myself
What a wonderful world
Yes it is
It’s that time of the year
To share some love
Time of the year
To spread joy
It’s that time of the year
To spread some love
Time of the year to share joy
Bells are ringing, people smiling
Folks are singing and everyone is happy
And feeling joy
Snow is falling, fire is burning
And kisses under the mistletoe
And I got this present for you baby
And ain’t that what this time is for
One glass of Champagne for you baby
And two, you’re my sip of sherry amour!
It’s that time of the year to spread some love
It’s that time of the year to share some joy
It’s that time of the year to spread some love
It’s that time of the year to share some joy
Let’s light a candle and stand by the tree
Play some music baby won’t you dance with me
Happy New Year to you baby
I’m wishing you joy
Let’s celebrate this time together baby
Right here, right now, I’m yours
It’s that time of the year to spread some love
It’s that time of the year to share some joy
It’s that time of the year to spread some love
It’s that time of the year to share some joy
Let’s light a candle and stand by the tree
Play some music baby won’t you dance with me
Baby let’s go outside and say hello to the snowman
Cuddle in the cold
Listen to the children sing their carol songs
Cause everybody, everybody, everybody, everybody knows
It’s that time of the year to spread some love
It’s that time of the year to share some joy
It’s that time of the year to spread some love
It’s that time of the year to share some joy
Let’s light a candle and stand by the tree
Play some music baby won’t you dance with me…

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
Over fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bobtails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
On a sleighing song tonight
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride
On a one horse open sleigh, hey
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh what it is to ride
On a one horse open sleigh
One horse open sleigh
It’s fun time, it’s Christmas time
Here we are again
It’s giving time, it’s sharing time
Love is in the air
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride
On a one horse open sleigh, hey
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh what it is to ride
Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh

Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky little lamb
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song
High above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea
Said the shepherd boy
To the mighty King
Do you know what I know?
In your palace wall mighty King
Do you know what I know?
A child, a child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring him into the fold
Let us bring him out of the cold
Said the King to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say
Pray for peace people everywhere
Listen to what I say
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light Goodness and light
Goodness and light
So this is Christmas
And what have you done?
Another year’s over
And a new one’s just begun
So this is Christmas
And I hope you had fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young
A very Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fears
So this is Christmas
For the weak and the strong
For the rich and the poor ones
The war is too long
So Happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let’s stop the fight
A very Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fears
So this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year’s over
And a new one’s just begun
So Happy Christmas
I hope you had fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young
A very Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fears
So this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year’s over
And a new one’s just begun
So this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year’s over
And a new one’s just begun
So this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year’s over
And a new one’s just begun
So this is Christmas
There are certain landmarks that all truly great singers measure themselves by. Maxi enjoys worldwide acclaim from audiences made up of all races, creeds and class. By making a Christmas album, heʼs now ventured down the same path as other iconic singers such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, yet thereʼs a tradition of Christmas songs in reggae music too and not least by Maxiʼs cousin, the late Jamaican reggae star Jacob Miller.
Christmas belongs to everyone. “Itʼs that special time of year when people care for one another, and feel love for humanity,” explains Maxi, quoting from the outstanding title track, which he wrote specifically for this project. “Itʼs when everything stops and we put our differences aside, because Iʼve no wish to discriminate against anyone. Iʼm singing for Christians and non-Christians. Iʼm singing for my mum and dad. Iʼm singing for my brothers and sisters in the blues dance and for children all over the world. Singing is my gift, and I have to use it for the good of everyone.”
